The practice was set up in January 1991 by John Coward, and became a limited company in 2002 with the directors being John Coward, Mike Darwell, Rebecca Gibson and Margaret Kuchczynski.  The practice is ideally located in the historic village of Cartmel, Cumbria and in 2010 had the pleasure of opening their own bespoke designed office in the newly built Unsworth’s Yard.

The practice is committed to high standards and providing a professional service to all clients.

JCA ltd is an RIBA Chartered Architects Practice, a member of the Green Register and has an Architect Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC). Two of our Technicians are also members of CIAT.
