New restaurant – Client: Simon Rogan

L’Enclume is a Michelin star restaurant and home of the chef, proprietor Simon Rogan.  The restaurant has been voted one of the five best destination restaurants with rooms in Europe. 

L’Enclume was formerly a small antique shop but originally the village blacksmiths.

The building is Grade II Listed and located centrally in the Cartmel Conservation Area overlooked by the Priory Church of  St Mary and St Michael.

All the many historic features of the building have been retained in the conversion and the restaurant accommodation looks out into the sheltered private walled garden fronting onto the River Eea.

JCA Ltd have also worked with Simon and the building owner to create Rogan & Co which is a Bistro in the village with  nearby lettable holiday accommodation at L’Enclume House. This Grade II Listed Building also in the Conservation Area has been converted to a high standard to create a modern interior in a historic building.
