Sun Room – Private Client

The brief was to improve the amenity of the bungalow by constructing a sun room on the gable and open up the existing dining and living rooms into the new space.

This has been successfully achieved with the sun room in turn opening out onto a sunny elevated terrace overlooking Morecambe Bay and the distant fells beyond.

Extensive re-modeling and terracing of the garden fronting the sun room has created a very attractive setting for the extension which is faced with local random rubble limestone walling and matching plain concrete roof tiles.

The timber windows and doors are faced externally with powder coated aluminum and finished internally with a natural stain.

A garden store and study have been created beneath the sun room making the best use of the sloping site.
