Phase 1 – Masonry repairs and re-roofing.

Purchased by the Borough Council in 2005 to prevent it falling into complete disrepair the Grade 2 listed building needed a major overhaul of its external fabric.  Dry and wet rot had infecting most of the internal timbers which were removed and replaced with new structure.  Lead work and slate coverings were all completely replaced.  On the front elevation the decayed stonework was replaced with new hand carved units and the brickwork was re-pointed using lime mortar.
