New house in garden – Private Client

The site for the new dwelling was created in the garden of a large house located on the outskirts of Grange-over-Sands.  The brief was to design a new modern house whilst retaining the views, access and amenity of the existing property which was to be sold off on completion of the new build.

The sloping land with rocky outcrops, access problems and respect of neighbours amenities presented many design challenges which have been successfully overcome.

The new house built on three levels and roofed in local slates and faced with local stone and wet dash render stands well in the garden setting and from the principal rooms there are good views over Morecambe Bay  and the distant fells beyond.
