Extension to Grade 2 Listed Property, North Cumbria

The owners of this Grade 2 listed property and small working farm in the north of the Lake District were seeking to extend and alter an existing modern kitchen extension in order to update and improve the living accommodation. The historic layout of the heritage asset was retained with some minor internal alterations carried out.

The new extension continued the linear form of the existing farmhouse and adjoining barn conversions. The modern glazing reflects the surrounding fells & landscape allowing the new development to sit back, whilst at the same time creating a light and spacious new family kitchen and dining space with great connection to the outside environment.

The existing living room was retained creating a cosy snug space that the family can retreat to when the night draws in.
